Hello there! It’s been a while. This is my first blog in quite some time. I bet you’re wondering I signed up and she fell off. Not exactly. Although we closed out 2020 and came into 2021 with the hope of a better new year in the midst of this pandemic. The beginning of this year had many similarities to its predecessor.
Like many of you, I’ve still been pressing through life, trusting and believing through virtual learning, vaccinations (if that was your choice and if it’s available to you wherever you are), and adjusting to a new “normal.” But that doesn’t mean that things have not been going on behind the scenes.
Have you ever watched a movie and then the behind the scenes extra footage. You get the opportunity to see some of how some of your favorite scenes were made. A peek into the Hollywood movie magic. What we see on screen has a lot to do with what’s going on behind the scenes.
Today marks the beginning of the second half of the year. We are halfway through 2021! If your life has been like mine, there’s a lot of behind the scenes footage producing what is played out in everyday life. Today I encourage you to take a moment and reflect. Reflect over the past six months. The highs, the lows, the good and the bad and maybe even the downright ugly!
After you have reflected, take a deep breath in, exhale out and whisper (or shout if you so choose) THANK YOU!
~Why? Because you are still here! Life may not have gone the way you wanted – but you’re still here.
~The things you thought would’ve happened by now, you may still be waiting on – but you’re still here.
~You may not know what the next six months, six weeks or six days old – but you’re still here.
The year is not over, there are more days ahead. I can’t make any promises as to what your behind the scenes will look like. They could be positive, negative or anything in between. He is God and I am not. What I do know is this.
